DR: 01.20.2012

Another walk-run-walk workout session for me. It was a very nice Saturday morning run, nice weather and the air is cool. I made the run part a little more intense this time to further shake the rusty-achey-joints off. Hehehehe. :D

Don't put much interpretations on the graph. I am still building mileage and gaining endurance stage. ;)

DR: Another 5K...

I had another 5k run and there was no chill in the air tonight. I had an absolute sweaty workout. My last run in preparation for Sunday's PSE Bull Run. ;)

DR: Breaching 5K...

It was another chilly evening and I just breached the 5k mark. Still feeling my knees and ankles if it can stand a further distance. The pain on my right knee has gone but the left ankle still has. ;)

DR: Happy New Year...

First of all, I'd like to greet everyone a very Happy and Prosperous New Year!!! :D

Let us all push for more miles this 2011! ;)

It was my first run to kick start my 2011 running season. The cold air could hardly make me sweat. I didn't push hard due to a slight pain in my right knee and left ankle. I guess rust has build up on my joints during my three weeks off. :D

DR: Breaking In...

Run a couple of loops last night just to break in the Nike Lunar Glides. The bounce and cushion compared to Nike Free Everyday is very much similar. Though the upper part are still stiff because it's practically new. With more mileage surely it will soften up. ;)

DR: Stretching A Little...

I just run to stretch the muscles that are still stiff from the race last Saturday. Trying to sprint from time to time to develop some speed. I felt good the whole stretch. ;)

DR: Tapering...

I just made a short tapering run (self assessment: barely 70 percent conditioned) to get ready for HSBC 135. Just a bit quicker strides this time but the graph says otherwise. Hehehehe! :D

Targeting below 35 minutes on Saturday to best my previous PR@5k. :D

DR: Almost A Mistake...

I've completed my run without looking at the SportBand but when I inspect the stats, to my surprise the distance was set in miles! Araguy! :D

I feel a little worried because I never recorded a run with the distance set in miles. I thought it would not be summed up to my previous runs. But I was glad the Nike+ Connect software easily the made the conversion and uploaded it in a jiffy. :)

As I expect, I'm slowly progressing and with an estimated average of 7 minutes per kilometer, I'm on target to do a sub-40@5k. I hope the time will go down further by Saturday during HSBC 135 and establish a new PR. Btw, I felt good with this run. Pain on the left foot arc is gone! ;)

DR: Weekly???

Grrrrrrrr!

Since Thursday last week, I wasn't able to run. And I'm so depressed that my supposedly scheduled every other day run becomes weekly. I'm terribly frustrated because t
he weather won't just cooperate. But tonight I got lucky to run on dry road though the sky is overcast and still threatening to rain. I was able to increase my pace just a weee bit faster. I hope by next week I should be at least in sub-40s on my 5k training. ;)

DR: Out of Ordinary Run...

I am just continuing what I started last week with my "PR" runs. Maintaining the distance but slowly increasing the pace.

As soon as I'm done with my routine training, I walk towards home (slowing down pace), then the rain starts to fall and pours hard immediately so I made a run for it (
I learned from a tip that I read "running in the rain". One should not stop because it will maintain high body temperature to fight hypothermia.). While running, I felt good and my speed was really fast. That's a good 2.5km! Too bad I already stopped the recording of my Nike Sportband+.

It was my first time to run in the rain after a long long while. The experience brings back some fun childhood memories running/playing in the rain with cousins and friends. Splashes of rain on my face was so refreshing! :)

DR: Loosen It Up...

As expected when I woke up this morning and both legs are sore. So, the run was to loosen up those aching muscles. I made a couple of rounds at Ayala Triangle with "PR" runs. Hehehehehe. ;)

DR: Getting Back In Shape...

DR = daily run***

Tonight I started to get back in shape after a long hiatus and I made a very good run. The singlet I am wearing was soaking in sweat. I even made a new "PR"...meaning "parang relax" run. Hehehehe. :D

With almost four months of none running, my pace indicates I did not loose all the work I have done before. I just have to pick up from where I left of.

I expect my leg muscles will be sore in the morning. So, I might do a recovery run tomorrow night to loosen it up.
